"An Academic Career Track at a Four-Year College"Dr. Amy Cheng Vollmer is a professor of biology at Swarthmore college. She will speak about what it is like to teach science, do research, and mentor undergraduate researchers at a liberal arts college. Dr. Vollmer will discuss many of the personal choices she has made in raising two children and pursuing an academic career. She will also talk about preparing for the job search targeting liberal arts positions and address the types of undergraduate-level projects she has supervised.
