DESCRIPTION:HGWISE is excited to invite you to a career panel on Academia in Teaching-Focused Universities.Many of us as graduate students associate careers in academia with large research institutions. Come to this panel with distinguished professors from a variety of science and engineering fields to learn about what it’s like to teach and do research at a liberal arts college or state school. Panelists will discuss their career experiences and answer questions from attendees. The panelists will be:-Dr. Lynn Stein, Professor of Computer Science and Engineering, Olin College-Dr. Katherine Aidala, Assistant Professor of Physics, Mount Holyoke College-Dr. Mala Radhakrishnan, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Wellesley College-Dr. Amanda Simons, Assistant Professor of Biology, Framingham State University The panel will be held in the Dudley House Common Room, on Friday March 2 at 1:30pm.
